A fantastic poster advertising The Yardbirds playing at The Locarno in Swindon, UK on Thursday, July 30th 1964, supported by Cadillac, and The Playboys. The original line-up of the Yardbirds was Jim McCarty, Chris Dreja, Paul Samwell-Smith, Keith Relf & Tony Topham. The band started working the London club scene in 1963. In December that year they were recorded live, backing Sonny Boy Williamson on his U.K. tour. In 1964 they signed a major recording contract with EMI-Columbia label. Over the next few years, The Yardbirds various line ups were to include, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page!!

A fantastic line up of bands, all for the princely sum of 20 pence!!! On the bill on Sunday, 1st November, 1964 were, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, The Pretty Things and The Birds, featuring a young Ron Wood, who of course eventually went on to play guitar with the Stones. The gig was played at the 'Face Club' in Grantham, UK.

A fantastic poster advertising a concert on Thursday 15th December 1966 at Beverly Road Baths, Hull. Although the poster states "Featuring The Guitar of Jeff Beck" the guitarist at this gig was Jimmy Page as Beck had been sacked from the band in October 1966. This show was one of the Yardbirds last UK appearances. Also on the bill were the Birds, featuring Ronnie Wood on guitar.

The Rhodes Centre was opened in 1963, and became one of the most prestigious venues on the music circuit in the early sixties, featuring many of the big names of the time. This poster advertises a concert by The Yardbirds, playing at the venue in Bishops Stortford, on Saturday, April 9th 1966. Admission that evening, 7/6, only 37 pence!
