featuring such bands as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones,
The Who, The Small Faces, Kinks, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd,
Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Cream, The Move, Byrds, Mayall.

Many posters include unknown smaller bands featuring artists
who were to become famous much later, such as Ron Wood,
guitarist with the Birds, later to play with Rod Stewart
and The Faces, and of course The Rolling Stones.
Other posters feature John Mayall, the founder of John
Mayall & the Bluesbreakers who has been influential
in the careers of many instrumentalists, including Eric
Clapton, Jack Bruce, Peter Green, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood,

Eric Clapton also featured with The Yardbirds, who also
spawned many great musicians, including Jimmy Page and

Also
available are posters from several large festivals that
took place in the 60's and early 70's. The 1968 Uxbridge
Blues and Folk Festival had a tremendous line up, featuring
The Who, John Mayall, Long John Baldry, Marianne Faithfull,
Spencer Davis and many others.

Another
poster of a festival that took place in Germany featured
many huge British and American acts. Pink Floyd, The Doors,
Rod Stewart and the Faces, The Kinks, Rory Gallagher,
Family, Lindisfarne, Billy Joel, Status Quo, Humble Pie
and many others performed on a hot weekend in May 1972.

Some
tour posters also feature many many artists and bands
who supported the bigger acts, but never quite made the
big time themselves. Some of the acts supporting The Beatles
were The Deltas, The Rocking Hotrods, The Outlaws, Gene
Day and the Jango Beats, Danny Havoc and the Ventures,
The Denver Six with Rikky Jacks, The Cadillacs, The Psychos,
Gary B Goode, The Big Three, The Kestrels, The Trixons,
Ivor Jay and the Jaywalkers, The Remo Four, Les Dell,
Vic Sutcliffe, The Robert Brothers and lots more.

The
MaximumRnB website also has posters featuring solo artists
from the 60's and 70's including Dusty Springfield, Elkie
Brooks, Gene Vincent, Muddy Waters, Eden Kane and many
many more. |
